Capabilities

An ECC-to-S/4HANA assessment produces two things a program board can act on: a defensible complexity picture, and generated migration artifacts traceable back to it.

Scanner

Zero-copy code scanning

Memory-mapped I/O with sequential-access hints parses ABAP source without loading files into RAM. Files are sharded by byte offset for deterministic parallel execution.

Master data

Advanced duplicate-risk assessment

Advanced mathematical algorithms, combined with configurable business and geographic grouping, assess duplicate risk across customer, vendor, and material master data. Above configurable thresholds, the accelerator produces an MDM-readiness assessment with counts and anonymized examples. The output indicates whether a separate MDM workstream may be required; the accelerator does not implement or deliver MDM.

Guardrails

Simplification-list enforcement

Module mapping is validated against SAP simplification-list rules at the interface layer. Invalid source-to-target mappings are blocked before execution, with the rule cited.

Codegen

Triple-format generation

SQLScript stored procedures, CDS views with ABAP behavior definitions, and Migration Cockpit JSON specifications — all generated from one shared AST. Switching formats never repeats the assessment.

Configuration

Runtime-tunable, no recompile

Thresholds, paths, blocking columns, and module mappings are declared in INI files. Operators adjust parameters by editing text — no rebuild, no vendor ticket.

Interface

One action per screen

A browser-based operator interface with a single primary action per screen guides mapping, format selection, and execution. Runs on any Linux server.

Process

Four steps. Each validates the last.

Nothing proceeds without sign-off on the step before it.

  1. Ingest & connect

    Upload ABAP source and SE80 dumps, or connect via RFC for read-only metadata extraction.

  2. Map with guardrails

    Select source ECC and target S/4HANA modules. Forbidden mappings are blocked; prerequisites are surfaced.

  3. Choose output

    SQLScript for HANA-native execution. CDS + ABAP for custom development. Migration Cockpit for standard tooling.

  4. Execute & verify

    Artifacts, complexity reports, and MDM-readiness assessments — every output timestamped and audit-ready. The assessment indicates whether a separate MDM workstream may be required; it does not deliver MDM.

The accelerator is licensed per migration assessment. One license covers a complete assessment run against your ECC landscape — code scan, data profiling, an MDM-readiness assessment that indicates whether a separate MDM workstream may be required, and artifact generation in your chosen output format — executed on your infrastructure.
